Environmental

We’re creating a fully sustainable, carbon neutral campus of the future. A place that has little impact on our environment. Sustainability and the health of our planet and people are at the core of our future plans for the park, and we have set a target to be net zero carbon by 2030. Already all of the electricity to the park is from renewable sources and 99.8% of all waste is recycled.

Our lift share and bike loan initiatives have already helped take vehicles off the road and with more EV car charging points planned we aim to take this further still. Our roadmap includes further harnessing solar and wind power as we work toward net zero 2030.

NetZero 2030

We’re committed to supporting Leeds City Council in making Leeds a carbon neutral city by 2030 and will be implementing many of the same initiatives where we can across the Park. These include:

Helping tenants reduce their own carbon footprint
Reduce pollution and noise
Reduce level of greenhouse gas emissions from buildings in the city
Promote cycling, walking and the use of public transport
Promote a less wasteful, low carbon economy
Reduce flooding and other risks from impact of climate change
Build sustainable infrastructure
Committed to another 150 EV chargers by 2027

Environmental, Social & Governance

White Rose Park is working on a range of principles and working models to secure sustainable results for the Park which support a number of the UN Sustainable development goals.

As the future Park evolves it will take bold strides to create a destination for long-term sustainable partnerships, encompassing sustainable building design and having a strong social impact in the local community; unlocking a range of personal and business well-being opportunities that create a far-reaching impact.
