Half of employees want mental health support at work: Meeting the needs of today’s workers
Nowadays, it’s not just about what a business offers – it’s about the people that make it all happen.
So, how do we make sure our team doesn’t just clock in, but genuinely thrives at work?
The recent Ways of Working survey by Hays Recruitment reveals all, sharing what today’s workforce truly care about – and it’s all about taking care of your employees’ wellbeing.
Understanding what matters the most
The report gives the lowdown on what truly motivates employees on the job. Turns out, nearly half of them – 49% to be exact – want some support for their mental health and wellbeing while on the job. Surprisingly, not all companies have caught onto this yet – only about 64% are actually offering this kind of support!
To attract and keep talent, employers need to step up and create a space where their team can thrive. It’s not just an option anymore; it’s a must-have.
That’s why we’ve made White Rose Park all about wellness, with on-site facilities designed for that exact purpose. Think free weekly yoga sessions, invigorating personal training sessions, and thanks to our partnership with the wellness experts at zeno, easy access to a hub of healthy, wholesome recipes and quality workouts.
These perks aren’t just about relaxation; they’re about giving our community the chance to unwind, shake off stress, and recharge for a better work-life balance. After all, we’re committed to crafting a lively, vibrant community where everyone’s wellbeing is front and centre.
Adapting together: Shaping the future of work
A lot of businesses assume that full-time remote working is the golden ticket to work-life balance and wellness, but the Hays survey tells a slightly different story: 56% of workers actually prefer a hybrid approach. Only 21% see themselves working from home full-time.
Hybrid working is here to stay, and we’re all in! That’s why we’ve created an inviting space for flexible work setups that match our tenants’ preference.
But that’s not all – the study also exposes what employees think would bring them back into the office regularly: 40% are keen for on-site food and drink facilities, 33% seek gym access, and 14% desire onsite childcare.
From dropping off your little ones at Kids Planet, our on-site nursery, to savouring a bite at Oliver’s or using the free Outdoor Training Park during lunch breaks, our community has access to state-of-the-art amenities that make office life great.
These are your tools for the ideal hybrid approach, and ensuring your team achieves that all-important work-life balance.
Our vision for the work of tomorrow is simple: work should be inspiring, growth-driven, and balanced. We’re waving goodbye to the old 9-to-5 routine and saying hello to a flexible, adaptable scene.
Empowering employees, driving success
By fostering a community-driven ethos, we inspire collaboration and creativity among our community.
Our aim? To meet the needs of the changing workforce and create an environment that not only meets the needs of our people, but empowers them to bring their best to the table – a win-win for employers and employees alike!
