Office campuses have long been known for their high energy use and hefty environmental impact. But as businesses and employees increasingly recognise the value of going green, sustainability is no longer just a trend – it’s a necessity for staying competitive.
At White Rose Park, we’re thrilled to have teamed up with Grid Edge, Linear Controls Systems, and Trustek to make the move towards a climate-friendly future easier. Read on to learn about how our smart building solution is helping cut costs and lower carbon emissions on-site.
How Grid Edge works
Grid Edge is changing the game in climate action by helping businesses make smarter energy decisions. Using high-accuracy building data and advanced AI, Grid Edge turns insights into real-world benefits: more comfortable spaces, lower carbon emissions, and reduced costs.
Partnering with Linear Control Systems, experts in smart building tech, and Trustek, who audited our current setup, the Grid Edge solution has been seamlessly integrated into our campus.
Since launching Grid Edge at White Rose Park, the results have been incredibly impressive. Within just a week, the system pinpointed areas where our equipment was overworking and identified numerous opportunities for energy savings. We’re now on track to reduce carbon emissions by 66 tonnes annually!
What this means for White Rose Park
The decision to go ahead with this partnership was a key part of our strategy to help meet our Net Zero ambitions and reduce our energy consumption and bills. However, it’s not just about saving money for us – it’s about creating a greener, more cost-efficient environment for everyone who occupies our spaces. We’re committed to attracting forward-thinking businesses that value sustainability, and this partnership is a vital step toward that goal.
For businesses at White Rose Park, the benefits are clear. Not only will you save on energy bills and contribute positively for the planet, but you’ll also boost your reputation by demonstrating a commitment to sustainability. This can impress investors and attract and retain climate-conscious staff who are increasingly looking to work for companies that align with their values.
Paul McCorquodale, CEO at Grid Edge, shared his thoughts on what this solution means for White Rose Park:
“At Grid Edge we are passionate about working with likeminded companies so Munroe K and the White Rose Park project are an ideal fit for us. We’re excited to help them reduce carbon and costs without negatively impacting comfort levels at the Park, our solution empowers commercial buildings to Net Zero typically delivering savings of 20%.”
Grid Edge is just one part of our broader strategy to create a smart, sustainable office campus. From constructing energy-efficient buildings to generating clean, green power with our on-site solar panels, we’re committed to helping our community reduce their carbon footprint and create a greener future.
